About The Position

This role involves preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic imaging, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety, and ensuring patient cooperation. The technician will practice radiation protection, prepare images for radiologist review, and assist with Medical Assistant duties to optimize patient flow. Responsibilities also include attending staff meetings, completing Department of Transportation certification for drug and alcohol testing, proposing process improvements, and working autonomously within established procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience.
• Current CRT certificate.
• Current CPR- BLS.
• Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow.

• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
• Proposes improvements to processes and workflows.
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
