About The Position

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is hiring a Lighting Project Manager to manage project efficiency, delivery schedules, financial status, and customer communications. The role works with Sales, vendors, billing administrators, and customers to coordinate order strategy, submittals, change orders, invoices, and critical shipping dates, with a focus on timely delivery and project profitability. The position is based in Manhattan, NY, and is performed primarily in an office environment. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 office products.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate information effectively and present solutions to customers.
Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Maximize project efficiencies to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Manage submittals and shipping dates.
Read specifications and drawings to identify change order value; manage approved and pending change orders and evaluate gross profit opportunities.
Schedule and maintain critical ship dates.
Develop overall order strategy with Sales to increase profitability.
Manage and review financial summaries and ensure the project management system accurately reflects project financial status.
Work with the billing administrator to ensure customer invoices are correct.
Keep the project management system up to date.
Identify critical ship dates and communicate with vendors.
Review returned submittals and relay them to vendors.
Foster and grow relationships with customers and sales teams.
Communicate submittal and shipping dates to customers.
