About The Position

The Light Equipment Operator 1 operates offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment. The position sets up and adjusts machinery for production runs, and cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment to support optimum operation. The operator may troubleshoot issues, submit maintenance requests, coordinate crew assignments, and train new team members. The schedule is 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM on the third shift, with a $1.25-per-hour shift differential. The stated pay range is $17.00–$18.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Familiarity with routine equipment operating procedures and the ability to set up and operate equipment by following a few step-by-step instructions.
• Ability to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to equipment operation, such as maintaining machine operating and maintenance records.
• Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.
