About The Position
The Light Equipment Operator 1 operates offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment. The operator sets up and adjusts machines and equipment for production runs, and cleans, lubricates, and maintains machinery to ensure optimum operation. The role may involve troubleshooting issues, submitting maintenance requests, coordinating crew assignments, and training new team members. Other duties may be required.
Requirements
- Familiarity with routine operating procedures for equipment that can be set up and operated using a few step-by-step instructions.
- Skill in operating equipment.
- Ability to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to equipment operation, such as maintaining machine operating and maintenance records.
- Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating.
- Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Operate offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment.
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment for production runs.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines to ensure optimum operation.
- Troubleshoot issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.
- Coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and provide training for new team members, as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
