About The Position

The Light Equipment Operator 1 operates offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment. The operator sets up and adjusts machines for production runs and cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment to support optimum operation. The role may involve troubleshooting issues, submitting maintenance requests, coordinating crew assignments, and training new team members. Other duties may be assigned as required.

The position requires familiarity with routine equipment operating procedures that can be performed by following a few step-by-step instructions. It also involves basic clerical work incidental to equipment operation, such as maintaining operating and maintenance records, as well as routine cleaning and lubrication. Operators should be able to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Requirements

• Familiarity with routine operating procedures for equipment that can be set up and operated by following a few step-by-step instructions.
• Ability to perform minor clerical tasks related to equipment operation, such as maintaining machine operating and maintenance records.
• Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating.
• Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Operate offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment.
• Set up and adjust machines and equipment for production runs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines to ensure optimum operation.
• Troubleshoot issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.
