Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in light duty mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of general to advanced electrical
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic, replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: Engines, transmissions and transaxles, manual drive train and axles, suspension, steering, brakes, clutches, AC units and electric motors
  • Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed
  • Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance to include: Oil and lube service, coolant system flush, transmissions services, filter and gasket checks, checking of water pumps, thermostats, belts, radiator hoses and clutch fans
  • Train and mentor other employees
  • Perform welding, such as: carbon arc, and Mig
  • May operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment
  • Act as a Fill-in Supervisor as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections
  • Perform other duties as required
