About The Position

This role involves feeding stainless steel wire into a machine to remove burrs from brackets. The primary focus is on operating a deburring machine, degreasing parts, and using hand tools for burr removal. Attention to detail is crucial for identifying nonconforming parts and ensuring parts meet specifications by reading part drawings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years experience in direct manufacturing
• Must be able to sit for up to 8 to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Must be able to look at small parts for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Experience with calipers, micrometers, toolmakers microscope a plus

Responsibilities

• Feed stainless steel wire into a machine to remove burrs.
• Feed strips of brackets into a deburring machine to remove burrs.
• Degrease strips of brackets to remove oil used in the slotting process.
• Use some hand tools to remove burrs.
• Identify and mark nonconforming brackets.
• Read and understand part drawings, and machine parts to specification.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
