About The Position

American Trim is a metal stamping facility looking for production team members for assembly and inspection positions on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. The job involves producing daily assignments as directed by supervisors, handling parts carefully to avoid damage, and operating with limited supervision. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality parts through visual inspection, meeting productivity goals, and communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality engineers about production, quality, and any issues that arise. Employees are also responsible for maintaining a clean work area and adhering to environmental compliance procedures.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and customer expectations.
  • Able to work effectively with others.
  • Be experienced in production environment in meeting schedules and rates.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Produce daily job assignment as assigned by departmental Supervisor or Line Leader
  • Handle parts to avoid surface damage.
  • Operate with limited supervision and prioritize work functions
  • Responsible for producing quality parts, primarily visual, and first inspection of product.
  • Accountable for quality and productivity goals.
  • Communicate problems, concerns and/or needs with internal customers.
  • Communicate with Supervisor, Quality Engineers, and other departmental employees on opposite shifts, if appropriate, in regards to production, quality, problems, and/or other related information.
  • Communicate with other members of the line in troubleshooting of problems.
  • Communicate and initiate action for defects detected in inspection functions.
  • Ensure that the job and setup are run according to procedures.
  • Ensure that the job is run in environmental compliance after instructions from Supervisor/Environmental Group.
  • Perform routine housekeeping in work area as necessary.
  • Any and all other tasks/duties assigned by the Supervisor
