About The Position

The Lift Truck Operator performs warehouse tasks including pulling, packing, and repacking orders; loading merchandise for customers; unloading trucks; and stocking or transferring merchandise using a lift truck or tugger. The role requires following instructions from the Control Booth, maintaining excellent customer service, keeping the warehouse area clean, maintaining an assigned aisle, properly putting merchandise away, and completing daily closing assignments. Operators may also assist other warehouse departments and perform other duties as directed by management. The work takes place indoors in a climate-controlled environment, and operators may perform tasks up to 45 feet in the air. Mathis Home promotes and maintains a drug-free work environment.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must pass the lift truck licensing test, including written and physical components.
Must weigh less than 300 pounds, as required by the manufacturer.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of merchandise handling procedures.
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Pull, pack, and repack orders.
Load merchandise for customers and unload trucks.
Stock merchandise using a lift truck or tugger.
Follow lift truck procedures and instructions from the Control Booth regarding merchandise to pull.
Provide excellent customer service.
Keep the warehouse area clean.
Assist other warehouse departments as needed.
Transfer materials as needed.
Maintain the aisle assigned by the manager.
Put merchandise away properly.
Check daily closing assignments and responsibilities.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
