About The Position
The Lift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading guests from chair lifts, performing start-up and shut-down procedures for lifts, and reporting any unusual occurrences. This role works closely with the Lift Operation Supervisor, Ski Patrol, and Maintenance to ensure excellent guest service. The position requires adherence to the "Lift Operations Guide" and a commitment to implementing company values, such as responding to guest needs and taking pride in the ski area's reputation as a friendly, family-oriented destination.
Requirements
- Completion and passing of Lift Operator training course
- None
- Ability to relate in a positive manner to guests and co-workers
- Frequent lifting of items weighing 60 Lbs. or more
- Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and moving equipment
- Will be exposed to severe weather while performing duties
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
Responsibilities
- Loads/unloads guests from chair lifts.
- Performs tasks to start-up and shut-down of lifts.
- Reports any out of the ordinary occurrences.
- Start-up and inspect lift at beginning of shift before Any Loading.
- Clean and check chairs.
- Assist riders on/off chair lift.
- Maintains ramps and shovel snow.
- Understand and follow the “Lift Operations Guide”.
