RMR Winter 26/27 - Lift Operator
About The Position
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Lift Operators for the upcoming winter season. This role is ideal for those who enjoy spending time in the mountains, appreciate scenic views, and like interacting with skiers, snowboarders, and international visitors. Lift Operators are crucial for ensuring a positive guest experience by safely operating gondolas and chairlifts, assisting guests with loading and unloading, and maintaining efficient lift operations. The position requires providing friendly, professional service, offering assistance to guests, and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone. This role runs from November to April, with both Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Able to provide proof of SIN (card or document from Canadian government)
- Passion for the outdoors
- Able to perform physical labor
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Mature, enthusiastic, and guest service oriented
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly over a radio
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- This position is an outdoor position that involves significant shoveling and physical labor.
- Requires working with a large team of people of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities
- Set up lift area for public use, including signs, maze equipment, and garbage cans, and clean up the area at the end of the day.
- Safely and efficiently help guests load and unload gondolas and chairlifts, adhering to all safe work procedures.
- Complete daily safety checks and record them on lift logs.
- Assist ticket checking staff in verifying that every guest has a valid lift ticket.
- Perform constant snow removal and snow work, including sweeping cabins/chairs, shoveling, ice chipping, and roof raking.
- Consistently interact with guests and provide a high level of guest service.
- Assist team members at various other workstations with similar duties.
