About The Position

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC). Since its inception in 2007, RMR has gained a reputation for big mountain riding, legendary powder, and an authentic Canadian resort town. The Team Leads assist Supervisors and Managers with all aspects of lift operations daily, including setup and takedown of lift equipment, ensuring lift operators complete all documentation and safety checks, managing break rotations, facilitating team-building activities, and maintaining overall staff morale and duties. Team Leads will be actively moving around the Gondolas and Chairlifts, assisting operators and ensuring they have everything they need for their day. Skiing or snowboarding is a significant part of this job, and being outdoors on the snow all day is required.

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Able to provide proof of SIN
  • Passion for the outdoors
  • Able to do physical labor
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Mature, enthusiastic, and guest service oriented
  • Able to work flexible shifts (including weekends and holidays)
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly over a radio
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • This position is an outdoor position that has a lot of shoveling and physical labor.
  • Large team working with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Set up lift area for public use, including putting up signs, maze equipment, and garbage cans, and clean up the area at the end of the day.
  • Safely and efficiently help guests load and unload the gondolas and chairlifts while following all safe work procedures.
  • Complete daily safety checks and record them on lift logs.
  • Assist ticket checking staff with ensuring every guest has a valid lift ticket.
  • Perform constant snow removal and snow work, including sweeping cabins/chairs, shoveling, ice chipping, and roof raking.
  • Interact with guests at all times and provide a high level of guest service, offering professional service, assisting guests where needed, and helping to create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for every guest.
  • Assist team members at various other workstations with similar duties.
