About The Position

As a lift operator, you will help people on and off the chairlift, run the chairlift, ensure that everyone is taking safety measures, and monitor gates, including checking tickets when required. You will operate the chairlift in an efficient and safe manner and ensure that the area is free of any potential hazards. Full Time and Part Time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Responsible and attention to safety and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to take on challenges
• Ability to work as part of a team environment and independently
• Arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time.
• Be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies of the mountain.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and trainings as required
• Assist guests with using the chairlift
• Greet guests and answer questions, provide helpful information
• Monitor gates for correct operation and compliance
• Check tickets and passes are valid when required
• Fill out opening and closing lift logs
• Set up and take down mazes and fencing around lift
• Adjust and monitor chairlift speed in association with guest needs
• Maintain adequate ramp heights, slopes, and consistencies
• Setup and take down appropriate signage around the lift
• Follow all safety guidelines, policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
