The Lift Operations Foreperson supports the Lift Operations leadership team by overseeing the daily operation of assigned lifts and crews. This role ensures safe, efficient, and guest-focused lift operations by providing hands-on supervision, training, and guidance to lift operators. The Foreperson acts as a key link between operators and management, assisting with scheduling, troubleshooting, and enforcing safety standards to deliver a smooth mountain experience for all guests.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Previous Lift Operations experience is required.
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates teamwork and support for management.
  • Monitors lifts and personnel for Tramway compliance, including all signage and licensing, normal and evacuation procedures, opening, operating, and closing procedures.
  • Assists with maintaining lift manuals and log books and all related documents.
  • Participates in all phases of the lift operator's job, helping to open, operate, and close lifts as needed.
  • Very thorough and accurate on all paperwork and office duties as assigned.
  • Using a radio to communicate in an effective, professional manner.
  • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate opening and closing needs and special events.
  • Assists in maintaining performance of lift personnel in the areas of lift operation and guest relations.
  • Leads by example for all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
  • All employees are expected to support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
