About The Position

WOOD-TV is seeking a dynamic Lifestyle Producer/Project Coordinator to help grow its daily lifestyle program. This role combines show producing and digital content creation, working with the executive producer to bring segments to life. The position reports to the Executive Producer and is crucial for the day-to-day operations of eightWest and Maranda Where You Live. Responsibilities include developing compelling content, booth and in-studio producing, field producing, and managing guest appearances. Successful candidates will have experience in producing, writing, editing, and a strong understanding of self-promotion across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Understand brand building directives.
  • Interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, managers, production, digital, and engineering staff.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal, written, grammar, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop strong news judgment.
  • Possess journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations.
  • Ability to pivot as situations and needs change.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Ability to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Builds daily rundowns, writes scripts, and builds Xpression graphics.
  • Communicates with clients/guests via email or phone before studio arrival to produce segments.
  • Acts as an in-studio producer and client/guest coordinator.
  • Generates new show content and ideas.
  • Writes web content and posts to social media.
  • Contributes to the show’s message on social media.
  • Collaborates with photographers for necessary video content.
  • Helps coordinate shared content with the EP.
  • Fills in for the EP when unavailable, including producing & boothing the show, handling Account Executive requests, and scheduling video shoots & edits.
  • Creates proposals and recaps for Maranda partners.
  • Works with the production crew to identify and address quality and efficiency issues.
  • Works on quarterly issues reports for eightWest/Maranda Where You Live.
  • Assists with special projects such as the Auto Show, Santa Parade, ArtPrize, Park Party Recess, Beautiful U, and Summer Reading Club.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
