About The Position

WAFF 48 is looking for a creative, high-energy Lifestyle Producer/MMJ to produce and shoot content for Tennessee Valley Living, our daily lifestyle show airing Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. This person will be the driving force behind the show, responsible for producing a full hour of engaging local content every weekday, while also shooting and editing editorial segments that bring the Tennessee Valley's people, places, and stories to life. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded storyteller who thrives on deadlines, has a strong eye for lifestyle content, and can seamlessly juggle production duties with fieldwork.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Prior producing experience required; experience producing a lifestyle, talk, or magazine-style show is a plus.
• Strong writing skills for both broadcast and digital platforms.
• Proficient in shooting and editing video independently (Adobe Premiere, Edius, or similar).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with hosts and other production team members.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce the daily one-hour lifestyle program, Tennessee Valley Living, airing Monday-Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Write, organize, and structure daily show rundowns and segments.
• Research and pitch local lifestyle story ideas and trending topics relevant to the Tennessee Valley.
• Collaborate with hosts, producers, and the creative services team to maintain a consistent creative direction and high editorial standard.
• Shoot and edit editorial content and packages for the show.
• Stay current on local events, trends, and pop culture to keep content fresh and relevant.
