The Bartender creates memorable and distinctive guest experiences by preparing drinks, keeping the bar looking and functioning flawlessly, and staying attentive to emerging trends, local offerings, and guests’ evolving needs. The role extends beyond the bar: the Bartender takes ownership of guest service, builds relationships across the hotel and in the community, and anticipates and responds to guest needs. The position calls for enthusiasm for beverage and guest service, attention to detail, and care in handling money, sharing information with guests, and maintaining drink quality. Bartenders are expected to help create a safe workplace, follow company policies and procedures, protect company assets, maintain confidentiality, and maintain a professional uniform and appearance. They perform other reasonable job duties as requested. The work requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and hands-on physical activity, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, as well as reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.
