About The Position

The Lifestyle Bartender role at Marriott International is about creating a memorable and unique guest experience beyond just mixing drinks. Bartenders are expected to stay updated on new trends, local offerings, and evolving guest needs, acting as hosts of the space. They are responsible for taking ownership of broader guest service, ensuring the bar functions flawlessly, and building relationships within the hotel and community to anticipate and deliver guest needs. The role requires passion for guest service, attention to detail regarding transactions, guest information, and drink quality. Critical aspects include maintaining a safe workplace, adhering to company policies, protecting assets, ensuring confidentiality, and maintaining a professional appearance. Bartenders must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping. Responsibilities

  • Build an experience that is memorable and unique
  • Constantly look out for new trends, micro-local offerings, and guests’ evolving needs
  • Act as the host of the space
  • Take ownership of guest service more broadly and do what needs to be done
  • Use knowledge and expertise to make the bar look and function flawlessly
  • Build relationships with others across the hotel and in the community, to anticipate and deliver on guests’ needs
  • Create a safe workplace

  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional

  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
