LifeSciences Technician II
About The Position
The LifeSciences Technician II receives and processes research and GMP cells, tissues, and samples according to established plans, communicating with internal customers as needed. The role performs research or GMP product characterization in full compliance with applicable SOP and GLP/GMP requirements. The technician completes production logs, data summaries, technical reports, and other documentation, and supports technology or assay transfer activities by updating SOPs and forms. The position also assists supervisors with production improvements and scheduling needs, reviews completed paperwork for accuracy, and supports laboratory upkeep by cleaning, monitoring supply levels, and operating, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment. When required, the role supports setup and cleanup for Clinical Education Lab events.
Requirements
- Three years of previous related work experience in Tissue Banking, Laboratory Science, or a related industry.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process research and GMP cells, tissues, and samples according to established plans.
- Communicate with internal customers as needed.
- Perform research or GMP product characterization in compliance with SOP and GLP/GMP requirements.
- Complete production logs, data summaries, technical reports, and other documentation.
- Support technology or assay transfer activities by updating SOPs and forms.
- Assist supervisors with production improvements and scheduling needs.
- Review completed paperwork for accuracy.
- Clean the laboratory and monitor supply levels.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Support setup and cleanup of Clinical Education Lab events when required.
