Lifeguard - Part Time Year-Round
About The Position
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a part-time, year-round Lifeguard responsible for the safety of guests and associates in pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, and interactive features throughout the waterpark. The role applies lifesaving skills and first aid when needed and helps maintain a safe, enjoyable environment through vigilant monitoring, prompt emergency response, and friendly guest interactions. Lifeguards work collaboratively with the team to uphold safety standards and support guests and staff. The position also assists with startup and closure procedures for indoor and outdoor attractions and helps maintain park cleanliness and equipment condition. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing the Kalahari Lifeguard Certification Course. Pay is $13–$14 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other associates.
- Must communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Must successfully complete and pass the Kalahari Lifeguard Certification Course as a condition of employment.
Nice To Haves

- Experience in a large resort or recreational/waterpark.
Responsibilities
- Ensure guests feel welcome and safe and receive responsive, friendly, courteous service.
- Maintain standards set by the National Aquatics Safety Company and Kalahari safety procedures, leading by example and supporting staff members.
- Work with the waterpark maintenance team to monitor equipment condition and inspections and follow preventative maintenance programs.
- Apply lifesaving skills and first aid to guests or associates in need.
- Assist with daily startup and closure procedures for indoor and outdoor waterpark attractions, including trash removal, towel collection, equipment and tube handling, lost and found, and park cleanliness.
