About The Position

HealthFitness is seeking a part-time Lifeguard for a premier corporate fitness center in Neenah, Wisconsin. The role is scheduled for 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. The Lifeguard monitors the aquatic facility to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for members and guests. The schedule is Monday 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; Tuesday 5:30–7:30 a.m. and 1:00–3:00 p.m.; Wednesday 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; Thursday 1:00–3:00 p.m.; and Friday 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Compensation is $12.00–$16.00 per hour, with the final wage based on factors including location, qualifications, experience, and skill set. Applicants must meet hiring requirements, including a pre-employment drug test.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, including CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.
Must meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
Must be dependable and alert, and able to interact positively with people of all ages while demonstrating strong customer service skills.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of member management systems, databases, and tools.
Must meet hiring requirements, including a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Monitor aquatic facilities and help ensure the safety and well-being of patrons.
Enforce and explain facility rules as necessary.
Respond appropriately to emergencies.
Test chemicals and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times per day.
Attend required staff meetings and training.
Support aquatic center needs by folding towels, cleaning, and filling water machines.
Inspect the Aquatics Facility to help ensure a safe environment for members.
Maintain a professional attitude.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
