About The Position

At One Vision, our Wellness Center is more than a pool-it's a place where community members, Glen Oaks residents, and individuals receiving services come together to stay active, build connections, and enjoy recreational opportunities. We're looking for a dependable and motivated Morning Lifeguard to help create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who starts their day at the Wellness Center. If you're an early riser looking for meaningful part-time work that leaves your afternoons and evenings open, this could be a great fit.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Strong swimming abilities, including: Swimming 300 yards using freestyle and breaststroke
• Treading water for 2 minutes without using hands
• Retrieving a 10-pound object from 7-10 feet of water and returning it within required time standards
• Willingness to complete Lifeguard Certification, CPR, and First Aid training
• Must pass required background checks and screenings

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with or supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Monitoring pool and spa areas to maintain a safe environment
• Performing routine water testing and documenting results
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the pool, locker rooms, and common areas
• Building positive relationships with members, guests, and visitors
• Assisting with swim lessons, programs, and special events as scheduled
• Responding appropriately to emergencies and safety concerns
• Supporting daily Wellness Center operations as needed
