About The Position

The Lifeguard is responsible for overall student safety in and out of the water. Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, this role helps maintain a safe environment by reducing hazards and hazardous behavior, providing immediate care or rescue when necessary, and responding to life-threatening situations.

Requirements

• Certified lifeguard.
• Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
• Adequate people skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Previous lifeguard experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student safety in and out of the water.
• Maintain a safe environment for all pool users.
• Use lifesaving techniques learned in certification when appropriate.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently.
• Know policies and procedures for emergencies.
• Reduce hazards and hazardous behavior.
• Provide immediate care or rescue when necessary and respond to life-threatening situations.
