About The Position

Join the Fun at Zoombezi Bay – Lifeguard Opportunities! Looking for a fun, fast-paced job where you can make a real impact? Zoombezi Bay in Powell, Ohio is hiring lifeguards! We provide the training and cover the cost of your certification, so you can keep guests safe and have fun in an exciting environment!

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong swimming skills are required.
• Willingness to earn a Lifeguard Certification through Ellis & Associates (we’ll help you get certified and cover the cost!).
• Ability to work in different weather conditions and have a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must successfully pass a criminal history check annually.
• Must adhere to the Columbus Zoo Family of Park’s drug-free workplace policy and follow Aquatics department’s wardrobe and grooming standards.

Nice To Haves

• No previous experience required, but a willingness to learn and help out is a must!

Responsibilities

• Keep a close watch on guests to always ensure their safety.
• Respond calmly and quickly to emergency situations, providing first aid until medical services arrive.
• Answer guest questions and address concerns with friendly, helpful communication.
• Ensure all safety rules are followed to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
• Show up on time and maintain a professional appearance.
• Complete required training and safety audits during the season to ensure your certification remains current.
• Work together with your team to ensure the best guest experience and safety.
