About The Position

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of Club members and guests by providing a safe and clean environment, while preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards are also responsible for maintaining a positive member experience through the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age by start date
  • Demonstrates leadership, customer service and decision-making skills
  • Attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition and identification of swimmers in distress or in process of unsafe behaviors
  • Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
  • Administer First Aid, CPR, and other emergency safety procedures, as required
  • Proficient swimming ability
  • Ability to commute/relocate to Greensboro, NC 27408: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Lifeguard experience
  • First Aid Certification
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety of Club members and guests by providing a safe and clean environment.
  • Preventing and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintaining a positive member experience through the delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Being ready for any potential risk in the water and equipped to react immediately.
  • Responding to immediate situations in the pool.
  • Maintaining the safety and maintenance of the pool during scheduled working hours.
  • Positioning oneself on duty to observe the pool and maintain maximum vision of swimmers.
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service, extending exemplary service to all members and their guests.
  • Promoting aquatic programs, such as swim team and swim lessons.
  • Performing various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Conducting oneself in a professional manner, being courteous and respectful to Club members and fellow staff members.
  • Reporting any problems to the Aquatics Manager and appropriate Shift Leader immediately.
