About The Position

The Lifeguard supervises and monitors swimmers and guests during waterpark operating hours, special events, and training sessions at the Kartrite Resort & Waterpark. The role responds to emergencies, provides or coordinates emergency first aid, enforces waterpark rules, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment. Lifeguards also assist guests, including helping younger guests with height wristbands and properly fitted lifejackets, and provide information about park and resort activities and policies. The position requires following Ellis and Associates certification standards, using appropriate PPE when handling biohazards, and complying with grooming and uniform guidelines. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to swim 50 yards in 4 feet of water and retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a pool.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to tolerate prolonged exposure to hot and humid environments.
Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.
Must follow Ellis and Associates certification standards.
Must comply with the employee handbook’s uniform guidelines and wear a nametag while working on the property.
Openness to new training and experiences.

Responsibilities

Supervise and provide surveillance of swimmers and guests during park hours, special events, and training sessions.
Respond to emergency situations in the assigned zone and assist with communicating emergencies outside the assigned zone.
Administer and coordinate emergency first aid as necessary.
Enforce waterpark rules and regulations.
Advise aquatics management of unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
Provide polite and timely customer service to guests.
Help younger guests obtain height wristbands for water slides and ensure lifejackets fit properly.
Provide information about park and resort activities and policies.
Perform routine daily chores and waterpark maintenance to keep the area neat and orderly.
Use appropriate PPE when handling, cleaning up, or disposing of biohazards in the water or on the pool deck.
Perform according to Ellis and Associates certification standards.
Follow grooming and uniform guidelines, including wearing a nametag while working on the property.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
