About The Position

The Lifeguard oversees the safety of swimmers and other people in the aquatic area at the Alliance Family YMCA. The role includes remaining rescue-ready throughout the shift and attending mandatory in-service trainings. Various early morning and daytime/early afternoon shifts are available. The starting wage is $12.00, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of age.
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification.
• If not certified, willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area.
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Remain rescue-ready at all times during the shift.
