About The Position

Lifeguard position at Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo's brand new water park. This role is vital for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests in the pool and waterpark areas. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in an exciting environment and contribute to creating unforgettable vacation experiences.

Requirements

  • Must be able to react quickly in emergency situations
  • High School Degree or equivalent is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure
  • Westgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace. Except where prohibited by law, applicants who smoke or use tobacco products will not be considered for positions at Westgate
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid FL State Driver’s License to drive company golf carts.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified (preferred but not required, certifications will be provided upon hire and required to start)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor guest activity in the pool and waterpark area to ensure safe use of the facilities.
  • Apply and enforce pool rules and regulations consistently.
  • Assist distressed swimmers in emergency situations.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and provide first aid as trained and authorized.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide resort information upon request.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
