The role also involves rescuing swimmers in distress, evaluating conditions for safety, initiating aquatics emergency action plans, and inspecting the waterfront, jet ski launch, equipment, and water to ensure they are safe and usable. Responsibilities further include maintaining equipment and first aid inventory, ensuring supplies are in good order at the start of each shift, filling out required checklists, attending scheduled lifeguard training and meetings, and undertaking other assigned waterfront projects.
