Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Manychat, IncAustin, TX

About The Position

Manychat is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the late-stage customer journey, focusing on habit formation, the trial experience, trial-to-paid conversion, and customer retention. This role requires a deep understanding of the product and its data to identify user drop-off points and develop strategies for improvement. The ideal candidate will leverage AI and modern tooling to create personalized, scalable experiences and drive measurable improvements in key lifecycle metrics. This is a strategic role, not solely focused on campaign execution, requiring close collaboration with product, product marketing, data analytics, and user research teams.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention/monetization marketing, with at least two years at a PLG company.
  • Hands-on experience with a customer engagement platform such as Braze, MoEngage, or Iterable.
  • Strong analytical and data skills: you can work with product and behavioral data, validate what you're seeing, and turn it into lifecycle decisions.
  • A track record of improving trial-to-paid conversion, retention, or other deeper-funnel and monetization metrics.
  • Fluency with modern tooling, including AI, to improve your own workflow and to drive more personalized, scalable experiences, plus a clear point of view on where it can take lifecycle next.
  • Genuine curiosity about the product itself, and comfort getting hands-on with it.
  • Creative thinking and the confidence to challenge how things are done and propose better approaches.
  • Experience designing automated, multi-channel lifecycle programs and personalized content.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A test-and-learn mindset and a real passion for improving customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the late-stage lifecycle and monetization journey: habit formation, the trial experience, trial-to-paid and free-to-trial conversion, and retention across the paying base.
  • Become a deep, hands-on user of the product and stay closely embedded with product, product marketing, data analytics, and user research, so your lifecycle work is grounded in real user journeys and moments of value.
  • Partner with user research, PMM, and product to recruit and learn from users, and turn those insights into lifecycle improvements.
  • Understand the data behind each stage of the journey, diagnose where users drop off, and build clear hypotheses for how to improve.
  • Move lifecycle beyond broad segments toward personalized, data-driven experiences, using AI and modern tooling to tailor content, timing, and channel to the individual user.
  • Use AI to sharpen how the work gets done, from research synthesis and briefing to QA, analysis, and experimentation, so the team ships and learns faster.
  • Design and run A/B tests, then analyze performance to refine strategy.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and your lifecycle counterpart to align messaging across email, push, and in-app.
  • Challenge the status quo of how lifecycle is done today, and bring a point of view on where the deeper funnel and personalization should go next.

Benefits

  • Professional development budget for conference tickets, online courses, and other relevant resources to help you grow.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Hybrid work and generous, flexible time off
  • Work from where you need to
  • In-office perks, including free meals and snacks.
  • Company-funded sport activities, annual offsites and team-building events.
  • AI tools like Claude, OpenAI, and more are on by default from day one.
