About The Position

Grindr is seeking a Lifecycle Marketer to join their Growth & PMM team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you will help build the Lifecycle Marketing function from the ground up. You will be responsible for executing programs across channels, running experiments, and turning CRM into a measurable revenue driver for Grindr's 15M+ users. The role requires a proactive approach as there is no existing playbook, and you will be instrumental in creating it. Grindr operates in 'Grindr Mode,' emphasizing outcomes over outputs and fostering a culture of smart, driven individuals who support each other's growth while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This is a hybrid role based in the New York office, requiring in-person presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail in execution, including clean logic, airtight QA, and ensuring campaigns function as designed.
  • Experience with subscription and community-driven apps (dating, social, freemium), understanding user progression from free to paid and retention strategies.
  • Experience working with AI, actively using it, and exploring future applications.
  • Desire to build a function from scratch and be an early member of the team.
  • Passion for the community Grindr serves (LGBTQ+).

Responsibilities

  • Build and run lifecycle campaigns across the full user journey, including onboarding, free user retention, monetization, and reactivation.
  • Think in terms of user journeys rather than one-off campaigns.
  • Run lifecycle experiments with clear hypotheses and defined success metrics.
  • Measure results, communicate learnings, and treat every send as a learning opportunity.
  • Operate Braze daily to build, QA, and maintain campaigns and journeys with clean architecture and smart segmentation.
  • Partner with PMM, Product, Brand, and Data on feature launches, go-to-market strategies, and key marketing moments, executing lifecycle support to ensure their success.
  • Help build and adhere to processes that enable Lifecycle Marketing to scale, including intake, prioritization, execution, and QA.
