About The Position

Viktor is an AI employee that integrates with Slack and Microsoft Teams, connecting to over 3,200 tools to perform tasks for companies in finance, marketing, operations, and engineering. The company is building a product that aims to replace a significant portion of the SaaS stack. The team is small, but the scope of work is extensive. This role is the first dedicated owner of the lifecycle machine, responsible for all communications that convert signups into daily users, single users into teams, and lapsed workspaces into returning ones. An agency is currently rebuilding the system, and this role will take ownership in mid-August, with full autonomy over its future direction. The position is hands-on, utilizing Customer.io daily, and success will be measured by activation rates, net revenue retention, and reactivated revenue. Weekly shipping of work is expected.

Requirements

  • Experience running lifecycle for a usage-based or PLG B2B SaaS company where revenue is driven by seats and usage.
  • Hands-on experience with Customer.io (or equivalent), including building segments, campaigns, webhooks, and event-triggered flows.
  • Data fluency, including the ability to write SQL, proficiency in product analytics, and self-sufficiency in pulling segments.
  • Proven ability to quantify the impact of work on activation or retention metrics.
  • AI-native mindset and willingness to use AI tools for daily tasks.
  • Demonstrated owner energy, with the ability to deliver shipped systems from vague goals without constant management.
  • Ability to ship work within the first week and talk to users on the first day.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning lifecycle at a Series A or B company during a similar growth stage, involving system rebuilding or inheritance, initial holdouts, and segmentation roadmapping.
  • Deliverability experience, including warming domains, managing blocklists, and improving sender reputation.
  • Experience running referral or advocacy communications and promoting programs effectively without alienating the audience.
  • Experience as the marketing-side owner of a CDP, event pipeline, or ESP migration.

Responsibilities

  • Own the email and in-channel nudge strategy for user activation, bridging the gap between initial engagement and first scheduled task.
  • Develop and implement strategies for seat expansion and usage expansion within paying workspaces.
  • Manage retention and reactivation efforts, iterating on campaigns to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and manage the advocacy engine, including lifecycle communications for referrals, creators, and implementation specialists.
  • Define the segmentation roadmap, identifying key customer segments (e.g., buyer vs. end-user, team size, usage stage) and collaborating with engineering to ensure data dependencies are met.
  • Manage the deliverability, sending domains, send hygiene, frequency capping, and overall quality of all outgoing emails.
  • Utilize Viktor, the AI employee, for drafting, auditing, monitoring, and data pulling in lifecycle management.

Benefits

  • Top-of-the-market salary
  • Ownership opportunities
  • Direct line to founders
  • Tight feedback loops
  • AI employee at your side
