About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare at Lehigh Valley is seeking a Life Skills Specialist to support adults with Substance Use Disorders in its 3C Program. The position provides direct care and helps clients progress in recovery through individual and group life-skills development, treatment coordination, client orientation, and instruction in the principles and practices of AA and NA's 12 Step Programs. The specialist also oversees the daily schedule, completes clerical and administrative tasks that support client care and program advancement, and transports clients as assigned. A valid Pennsylvania driver's license in good standing is required because the role involves transporting clients in a company vehicle. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in the behavioral healthcare industry.
• Valid driver's license in good standing in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adults with chemical dependency problems in the 3C Program.
• Participate in implementing clients' treatment by communicating with relevant parties.
• Accompany and transport clients as assigned.
• Orient new clients to the unit, program, and milieu.
• Teach the principles and practices of the AA and NA 12 Step Programs.
• Carry out clerical and administrative assignments that support client care and program advancement.
• Help develop clients' life skills in individual and group settings.
• Oversee the daily schedule for 3C clients.
