About The Position

TransPerfect is seeking freelance linguists to translate from English into Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) for life science materials, including clinical and legal content. Linguists translate and proofread client documents and finalize work before delivery, under the guidance of a manager and in collaboration with Project Managers. The work can be performed remotely anywhere in the world. Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete translation and MTPE tests. Applicants should submit a current CV detailing relevant translation and MTPE experience, a proposed translation rate per word, and an MTPE hourly rate in USD. Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).
• Specialization in the relevant field, including clinical or legal life science material.
• Acute attention to detail, spelling, and grammar.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, especially under tight deadlines.
• Meet at least one of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized higher education institution; two years of translation experience and a college degree; five years of translation experience with no college degree; or a translation competence certificate awarded by an appropriate government body.
• Submit a current CV that includes relevant translation and MTPE experience and proposed translation-per-word and MTPE-hourly rates in USD.
• Sign a confidentiality agreement and complete translation and MTPE tests.

Responsibilities
