About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Life Safety Inspection & Repair Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently performing inspections and repairs on various types of fire suppression systems. Your expertise in life safety systems will be essential to provide exceptional customer service and support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer-centric mindset.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Fire Life Safety or a related field, preferably in the Fire Suppression field
  • Knowledge or experience in testing and servicing Pre-Action, Dry Systems, Fire Pumps, and wet systems. etc.
  • Strong computer skills, Building Reports
  • Strong knowledge or experience in testing and servicing Pre-Action, Dry Systems, Fire Pumps, and wet systems. ect.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dedication to teamwork and self-motivation.
  • Dependable, reliable, and punctual.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire protection systems including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
  • Perform routine inspections in accordance with local, state, and national fire codes and safety standards.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues.
  • Install and commission new fire protection equipment and system components.
  • Complete system testing and verification to ensure proper operation and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, deficiency notices, and compliance documentation.
  • Communicate inspection findings, repair recommendations, and system status to customers and management.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and perform urgent repairs when needed.
  • Coordinate with contractors, building managers, inspectors, and other trades on service and installation activities.
  • Stay current with evolving fire codes, manufacturer updates, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, after-hours service, and scheduled preventative maintenance programs.
  • Identify code violations and recommend corrective actions to maintain compliance.
  • Support annual inspections and assist with regulatory audits or fire marshal reviews.
