Life Path Assistant - Recreation Assistant (CNA)

The Life Path Assistant gets to shine by bringing joy and purpose to our residents with everyday activities built around what each individual wants. Your day will include opportunities to help get residents ready for the day so they can fully-participate in the quality of life they deserve. As a C.N.A., you would provide assistance with ADL’s or other recreational activities. You will experience variety in your shifts, assisting residents with technology, creative projects, social activities, adaptive arts and crafts, and online tasks. The joy of being at QLI will offer you experience in a healthcare setting while you branch out into relationship-building with our residents and team members.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Must not have any condition or limitation that could pose a direct threat to self or others unless such threat can be eliminated by a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to pass a fitness assessment designated for this job title and perform all physical activities related to the position.
- Regular attendance in your assigned role is an essential job function.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- PAID training for the right candidate if you do not have your certification yet.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with ADL's or other recreational activities.
- Assist residents navigate iPads to find new apps or games.
- Help residents read letters from loved ones or make birthday cards.
- Assist residents in the sports bar making drinks or watching games.
- Create adaptive ways for residents to enjoy painting, knitting, stenciling, or woodworking.
- Help a resident complete on-line shopping or search for games.
