We are looking for talented, detail-oriented, and dedicated professionals to ensure a bright future in our organization. Loudonville Assisted Living Residence is seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to bring joy, purpose, and meaningful engagement to the lives of our residents. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading activities across all three centers of our community, including Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care.The ideal candidate is someone who naturally lights up a room, enjoys building relationships with older adults, and understands that the best activities are about creating moments of connection, laughter, and purpose. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, willing to jump in wherever needed, and not afraid to laugh at themselves while creating memorable experiences for residents. This is a Full-time hourly position from 9:30am-3:30pm

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead groups and engage individuals with varying levels of ability.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop new and exciting programs.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a strong sense of humor.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups and facilitating activities.
  • Ability to lift activity supplies and assist with event setup.
  • High school diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with older adults, recreation, activities, education, hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead engaging daily activities for residents across all levels of care.
  • Develop creative programs that promote physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Facilitate group activities, special events, outings, entertainment, and holiday celebrations.
  • Adapt programming to meet the needs and abilities of residents, including those living with dementia.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage participation in activities.
  • Create a welcoming, energetic, and positive atmosphere throughout the community.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident experiences.
  • Assist with decorating, event setup, and special community initiatives.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers, entertainers, and community partners.
  • Document participation and maintain activity records as required.
  • Support resident-centered care by learning residents' interests, hobbies, and life stories.
