Life Enrichment Assistant / Activities
About The Position
At Brandywine by Monarch Communities, the Life Enrichment Assistant plays a key role in enriching residents' lives to ensure they live an active and vibrant life. This role involves getting to know residents to help plan and implement spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional programming. The assistant will promote and communicate community events, organize and run activities like games, painting, singing, and music, and utilize social media, email, and newsletters to showcase daily happenings. Occasional driving of a company vehicle to transport residents to and from events is also part of the role, along with setting up and breaking down events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic first aid and CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Physical fitness to assist with activities and mobility support
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Active Driver's license in good standing
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of senior care or recreational activities
- Talents as a singer, dancer, artist, poet, historian, or trivia expert
Responsibilities
