About The Position

We are looking for someone from 9am to 4:30pm on Mondays and Fridays! Join our team as an Activities Associate (Intermissions Associate). In this role, you can bring their gift of compassion to our residents and family members in our intermissions program, who deal with the challenges of dementia. Requirements

• Patience, flexibility, and the sincere interest and desire to work with residents affected by dementia

Nice To Haves

• Programming/activity experience is preferred
• Flexibility in work schedule to include evenings/weekends

Responsibilities

• Co-lead social activity-based programming for Intermission participants
• Adopt a person-centered approach and an environment that supports the needs of each individual resident
• Design and implement creative programming
• Assist in program operation by leading activities and transport residents to and from programs
• Engage in mealtime preparations
• Complete daily attendance records
• Attend in-services and other training to increase job knowledge and skills in working with participants
