Life Enrichment Assistant Activities Assistant
About The Position
Iris Memory Care of Tulsa is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Life Enrichment Assistant to help create meaningful, engaging days for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The role helps plan and lead activities that support residents’ emotional, social, cognitive, and physical well-being, working closely with residents throughout the day to foster a warm and welcoming community. Full-time and part-time positions are available, and weekend availability is required. The starting pay rate is $15.00 per hour and is negotiable based on experience.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Be able to engage and communicate with seniors living with dementia.
- Be creative, energetic, and team-oriented.
- Be able to pass a background check and meet employment requirements.
- Be available to work weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in senior living, memory care, activities, childcare, customer service, or healthcare is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with daily activities, events, games, crafts, music, exercise, and social engagement.
- Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families.
- Support outings, special events, and holiday celebrations.
- Assist with activity setup, decorating, organization, and cleanup.
- Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the community.
- Work collaboratively with caregivers, nursing staff, and leadership.
- Adapt activities to meet the unique needs of residents living with dementia.
