About The Position

Sedgebrook is hiring a Life Enrichment Assistant for its 5-star-rated senior living community. The role supports meaningful relationships and enriches residents’ lives by assisting with recreational and enrichment activities, resident engagement, and volunteer coordination. The position is PRN with a 16-hour work week, scheduled every other weekend or every weekend, preferably every weekend, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Pay is $17–$18 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school degree required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting.
• Background in music, art, drama, and dance therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and coordinating activities, including reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outside trips, special events, and one-to-one visits, as indicated.
• Assist with preparing and distributing the monthly calendar and newsletter.
• Assist with purchasing supplies for activities as needed.
• Distribute mail to residents daily.
• Perform and direct the movement of residents to and from recreational areas.
• Direct volunteer activities, enlist volunteer support, coordinate volunteer efforts, and provide volunteer training and supervision.
