Life Enrichment Assistant
About The Position
The Life Enrichment Assistant assists the Life Enrichment Director with planning, implementing, and evaluating life enrichment programming to optimize residents’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cognitive well-being. The role helps bring to life Ebenezer’s cornerstones: Life Long Learning, the Dimensions Program for Dementia Care, Crafted Culinary, Spiritual Care, Wellness, and Intergenerational Programming. The position is at Amira Choice of Roseville on Cleveland, a senior living community offering Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Care Suites. The schedule is casual/on call, on the day shift, and includes every other weekend.

Responsibilities
- Assist with life enrichment programs and activities.
- Lead social events and activity programs.
- Conduct exercise classes for residents.
- Communicate and coordinate life enrichment programs with all departments.
- Assist other departments with special events and family functions.
- Complete required documentation.
- Offer suggestions and ideas to the Life Enrichment Director to improve programming.
- Assist in meeting residents’ psychosocial needs.
- Assist with planning and execution of individual, small-group, or large-group outings outside the building, including helping residents board and deboard vehicles safely.
- Encourage resident participation.
- Report changes in residents’ attitude, mood, or physical status to appropriate staff.
- Promote resident independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
- Assist residents in developing relationships and socializing effectively.
