The Life Cycle Sustainment Coordinator will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine COLUMBIA Program Office. Team Submarine’s Submarine COLUMBIA Class Program Office is responsible for: The construction of COLUMBIA Class submarines, financial and budget management, shipyard support of submarines, vendor support of submarines, logistical support, quality assurance (SUBSAFE), and post-delivery submarine certifications and test programs. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force. In this role, you will: Provide direct support to PMS 397 leadership in the coordination between multiple program offices in transition of a COLUMBIA Class submarine from new construction to life cycle sustainment processes. Act as a System Matter Expert (SME) for Submarine Life Cycle Sustainment Processes to include: SUBSAFE Unrestricted Operations (URO) Fly-by-Wire Post Construction and Availability Submarine Certification. Provide technical support utilizing ship’s drawing and technical manuals for material issues that occur with submarines. Respond to both Internal and External request for comments and opinion for documentation in the areas of Supply Support Policy and Guidance, to include NAVSEA, SSP, OPNAV, NAVSUP, COMSUBFOR instructions, notices, and publications. All reviews to consider changing or update the impacts the Acquisition, Construction, Sustainment and Disposal of the CLB Class Submarine Program. Provide expert-level guidance to various teams regarding program management processes, coordinating schedules between project teams, supporting cost assessments, identifying/managing risk, and developing post-delivery operational plans.
