About The Position

The Lieutenant supervises shift operations at the El Paso Processing Center, ensuring that personnel follow company and ICE policies, PBNDS, PREA, facility SOPs, and post orders. The role supervises Shift Supervisors, responds to incidents, coordinates with ICE, and ensures required reports and notifications are completed on time. It also includes personnel, equipment, attendance, and performance-appraisal duties. The position requires rotating shifts and work in a secured correctional facility.

Requirements

Five years of experience as a detention/corrections operations Supervisor of equal or lower rank, and/or as an SNCO or Commissioned Officer with an Honorable Discharge.
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
Computer skills, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Ability to obtain and maintain PSU Clearance.
Ability to meet the physical requirements specified by the contract.
Must be able to work rotating shifts.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Observe shift muster and provide pass-down information to the oncoming shift.
Conduct personnel inspections and forward discrepancy reports to Management as necessary.
Directly supervise Shift Supervisors in carrying out duties in accordance with company policy, ICE policy, PBNDS, PREA, and facility SOP.
Supervise shift operations and ensure Officers perform their duties in accordance with post orders.
Ensure all counts are conducted at prescribed times.
Review Supervisor Post Checks and prepare the Daily Operations summary.
Act as Incident Commander in conjunction with ICE.
Respond to incidents occurring during the shift.
Supervise preparation of required incident reports, ensure Management and Agency personnel are notified of serious incidents, and ensure reports are submitted on time.
Conduct employee and detainee injury investigations in accordance with policies.
Review Records of Presence to ensure shift personnel have signed in and out properly.
Conduct daily inventory of controlled equipment.
Prepare performance appraisals for Shift Supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
