Requirements

Insurance claims experience, preferably in California workers' compensation.
Experience negotiating medical bills, liens, or claim settlements.
Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and manage litigation-related activities.
High School Diploma/GED required

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of post-settlement California workers' compensation claims.
Process medical bills, legal updates, and claim-related workflow within established deadlines.
Resolve EDI, ISO, reserve, and other claim alerts.
Coordinate coverage for lien hearings and legal proceedings.
Negotiate and resolve medical liens with providers and lien claimants.
Partner with defense counsel to develop and execute lien resolution strategies.
Evaluate lien matters and recommend appropriate settlement or litigation approaches.
Track lien savings and report results to Claims leadership.
Identify trends and recommend process improvements to support favorable lien outcomes.
