As a Licensing and Training Specialist in the Foster Care Department, you will recruit, train, and license foster parents. You will provide pre-service training for potential foster parents, and assess and evaluate them based on state and agency policy. You will guide potential parents through the licensing process and submit all necessary documentation to the state and agency. Once licensed, you will ensure foster parents' training remains in compliance, provide at least quarterly supervision/assessment, and maintain audit-ready files. You will work in cooperation with the foster care coordinator to provide comprehensive support to help foster parents maintain the placement of children in their homes. This role also involves public speaking and marketing to recruit families. A typical day will include typical work hours (8-5), however, flexibility is a must to be able to meet with foster parents or for marketing – occasional evenings or weekends. You will provide excellent customer service, assist in locating placements for children, and work both independently and with a team to ensure the safe placement of children, while maintaining documentation requirements.
