About The Position

Under the direction of the Head of Human Resources the Licensing Specialist position is responsible for auditing, tracking, analyzing initial and renewal license submissions with various gaming authorities in the US, focusing primarily on Michigan employee licensing.

Requirements

  • Experienced in a compliance role supporting licensing; previous work in a casino or supplier environment preferred.
  • Experience working with gaming regulators.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with a gaming company licensing or experience in related audit/occupational licensing field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage processes and workflows through multiple departments and locations.
  • Ability to multi-task, monitor and meet regulatory deadlines, ensuring accuracy while managing internal licensing modules.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently but within a team environment and be accountable for work and work product.
  • Occasional travel to offices within the US
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel and Access.
  • Data analysis, reporting, and tracking experience.
  • Auditing and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Heavy data analysis in the oversight and tracking of initial and renewal for gaming employee license applications and approvals for various gaming jurisdiction.
  • Effectively communicate and provide a high degree of support to cross functional teams including but not limited to Human Resources, Operations, and Compliance departments as it relates to the statuses of employee licensing.
  • Monitor and maintain license issuance and ensure licensing compliance.
  • Ensure timely license application submittals, efficient new hire and renewal licensing processes, timely payment of fees.
  • Travel to regulator offices as required to deliver licensing paperwork and pick up licenses as needed.
  • Maintain, monitor, and update licensing/compliance procedures in all jurisdictions and communicate jurisdictional requirements changes/updates of regulations to other team members within the compliance department and management.
  • Manage database and other means of tracking for initial and renewal occupational license issuance.
  • Responsible for generating routine status reports for review and analysis.
  • Organize frequent meetings with internal and external stakeholders including gaming authorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
