About The Position

The Nevada State Contractors Board is seeking a full-time Licensing Aide in Reno, Nevada. The position reports to the Licensing Supervisor. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, office experience, the ability to meet customer expectations positively and professionally, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Recruitment is open until filled.

Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of professional correspondence preparation, including strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Ability to apply fundamental accounting concepts to analyze financial information.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, including governmental regulations.
Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all types of customers.
Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
Ability to compile and write reports.
Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system effectively.
Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Review documents, including financial documents, for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare professional correspondence.
Prepare and print forms, reports, and notices.
Enter data from source documents and identify related data components.
Prepare documents for scanning into the document imaging system.
Answer incoming calls and respond to requests for information.
Process license renewals and license change requests, and monitor insurance compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
