About The Position

The Maples is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support The Maples Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. The role is available for day, night, or PRN shifts. The LVN provides basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for examinations, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, educating patients on self-care, and thoroughly documenting patient information. The nurse communicates clearly with patients and the healthcare team and contributes to coordinated care with the multidisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Active Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the state of Texas.
At least 1 year of experience as an LVN.
Certification in Basic Life Support.
Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.

Nice To Haves

Behavioral health care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in planning, coordinating, and documenting total patient care with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Accurately report and record client conditions and care, including signs and symptoms that may indicate a change.
Monitor skin assessments and properly document and report changes.
Complete, maintain, and document accurate and relevant clinical notes.
Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation for nursing services provided.
Participate in education, in-services, training, and meetings as needed.
Facilitate appropriate nursing actions in response to administrative directives and changes in the healthcare environment.
Ensure physician orders are followed and documented during the assigned shift.
Manage medication administration, monitoring, and proper storage in accordance with medication management policies and procedures.
Take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, collect specimens, assist with procedures, and educate patients on self-care.
