About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. The role supports patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs and addresses communication needs of patients and families. The nurse performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process in an emergency-room setting.
Requirements
- Hold a current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
- Have a current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
- Meet patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
- Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
- Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process in the ER setting.
